Professional Actors Training and Helping
PATH is a company which came into existence in 1990 as an offshoot of a program started by Dr. Rita Charon for Columbia Presbyterian Hospital to foster better communication between physicans and patients. The program was not fully realized until Dr. Charon decided to use professional actors instead of actual patients. The reality and sustained drama that were achieved has been tremendously helpful to doctors and students at all levels by allowing them to explore the human condition in working with patients in both crisis and non-crisis situations.

Over the years PATH has grown and diversified. In addition to New York City we are now also serving clients in Boston and
Philadelphia. We have expanded creatively, producing and performing live industrials and medical videos.
